WHAT’S A SUPERMOON AND WHY IS THIS NAMED AFTER IT?

A supermoon is a full moon that coincides with when the moon’s orbit is closest to Mother Earth. This only happens a few times a year, and results in a larger than usual appearance of the moon from our vantage point here on Earth. It is said that when the moon is this close, it can be easier to harness its powers. The supermoon is linked to physical, spiritual, and emotional healing. It is larger than life. I want you to be able to harness that energy, that healing, and have a larger than life experience all the time. Ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated with outer space, the stars, the moon, and everything “beyond.” I first reserved the domain a few years ago, during a glowing supermoon, when I was really feeling like I needed to focus my own energy in my work as a makeup artist. The name didn’t feel quite right for that, but I felt a strong connection to it as I strive to help people feel that larger than life/otherworldly quality when I do their makeup. And when I started making bath bombs, I realized I already had my name!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Handling time is typically 1-3 business days, and you’ll receive a tracking number to keep an eye on when your items will arrive! Local delivery and pickup will be coordinated directly, and has similar handling time. **Please allow additional time during holidays, pre-orders, and limited release launches.

DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA OR OUTSIDE THE US?

Not at this time, but hopefully in the future!

You can rest assured we remain committed to always being cruelty-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free, and sulfate-free. 

WHY DO YOU USE FRAGRANCE OILS? AREN'T ESSENTIAL OILS BETTER?

Not exactly. In our research and testing, we learned that even essential oils can be too strong and potentially harmful. And high-quality fragrance oils (AND essential oils) from a reputable supplier have been tested thoroughly, and have usage guidelines so we can be sure to use them appropriately. And to be honest, sometimes we just want to smell like an apple pie all day and can’t achieve that with essential oils alone.

DO YOU SELL NAKED/PACKAGING-FREE PRODUCTS?

We do not. And the reason for this is to protect the integrity of the product as it travels from our hands to your tub. Humidity and moisture content can affect bath bombs and shower steamers, as that’s exactly what makes them activate when you use them! We wanted very much to avoid single-use plastics, but for a small, handmade business, it's not currently possible for us. So while we do try to keep packaging fairly minimal, some plastics are necessary. We are proud to say our shrink wrap is completely biodegradable. And the packing peanuts in shipped orders are completely compostable, and actually just dissolve when wet. We do ask that you repurpose your jars to give them extended life, and dispose of any wrapping and shipping material properly! Recycling rules can vary depending on where you live, if you're unsure we are happy help you find the correct guidelines!

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF SUPERMOON PRODUCTS?

We recommend using our products fresh! As a general rule, we like to say within 3-6 months. If you're hanging on to things too long, they may begin to loose their magical scent and the colors and design may begin to fade. And due to the nature of bath and body products, excessive exposure to moisture can affect their consistency and quality (keep those scrub caps closed tightly!).
